Since 2014, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has proceeded the project to develop the precise global digital 3D map �ALOS World 3D� (AW3D)*1 covering the global land areas through the use of 3 million scene archives acquired by the PRISM panchromatic optical sensor on the Advanced Land Observing Satellite "DAICHI" (ALOS) operated from 2006 to 2011. The developed digital 3D map consists of digital elevation model (DEM) or digital surface model (DSM) that can represent land terrains with approximately 5 meters in spatial resolution and orthorectified PRISM nadir looking images.

Global Forecasting System
The Global Forecast System (GFS) is a global numerical weather prediction system containing a global computer model and variational analysis run by the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS). The GFS is run four times a day, and produces forecasts for up to 16 days in advance. The forecast component uses the FV3 model with a resolution of ~13 km. In the vertical, the model is divided into 127 vertical layers.

HydroWASTE version 1.0
HydroWASTE is a spatially-explicit global database of 58,502 WWTPs and their characteristics. This database was developed by combining national and regional datasets with auxiliary information to derive or complete missing WWTP characteristics, including the amount of people served. A high-resolution river network with streamflow estimates (HydroATLAS: https://doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.9890531) was used to georeference WWTP outfall locations and calculate each plant’s dilution factor (i.e., the ratio of the natural discharge of the receiving waterbody to the WWTP effluent discharge).

This TIFF was created from running an Ordinary Kriging on points that were obtained from taking digitized points from an Admiral Bathymetry map and points collected in the field as well as from other maps. These points were combined into the same file and had their depths converted to the same unit (meters). All points that were outside of the LV shoreline polygon were removed.

Rainfall (CHIRPS)
Climate Hazards center InfraRed Precipitation with Station data (CHIRPS) is a 30+ year quasi-global rainfall data set. Spanning 50�S-50�N (and all longitudes), starting in 1981 to near-present, CHIRPS incorporates 0.05� resolution satellite imagery with in-situ station data to create gridded rainfall time series for trend analysis and seasonal drought monitoring. As of February 12th, 2015, version 2.0 of CHIRPS is complete and available to the public.

SPOT (Payware)
The SPOT (from French "Satellite pour l'Observation de la Terre") series has been supplying high-resolution, wide-area optical imagery since 1986. Conceived by the French National Centre for Space Studies (CNES), five satellites were launched between 1986 and 2015, and in revealing Earth�s surface in detail they led to new applications in mapping, vegetation monitoring, land use and land cover, and the impacts of natural disasters. The latest satellites in the series, SPOT 6 and SPOT 7, are commercial satellites owned by Airbus Defence and Space, and assure data continuity through to 2024. All of the SPOT satellites provide imagery in Panchromatic and Multispectral bands with a swath of 60 km.

Sentinel 1 - 3
With the objectives of Land and Ocean monitoring, Sentinel-1 will be composed of two polar-orbiting satellites operating day and night, and will perform Radar imaging, enabling them to acquire imagery regardless of the weather. The first Sentinel-1 satellite was launched in April 2014. The objective of Sentinel-2 is land monitoring, and the mission will be composed of two polar-orbiting satellites providing high-resolution optical imagery. Vegetation, soil and coastal areas are among the monitoring objectives. The first Sentinel-2 satellite was launched in June 2015. The primary objective of Sentinel-3 is marine observation, and it will study sea-surface topography, sea and land surface temperature, ocean and land colour. Composed of three satellites, the mission's primary instrument is a radar altimeter, but the polar-orbiting satellites will carry multiple instruments, including optical imagers.

TAMSAT
TAMSAT produces daily rainfall estimates for all of Africa at 4km resolution. The TAMSAT archive spans 1983 to the delayed present. The longevity of the dataset makes it especially suitable for risk assessment. Applications of the data include famine early warning, drought insurance and agricultural decision support. Rainfall estimates and other TAMSAT products are issued on the 1st, 6th, 11th, 16th, 21st, and 26th of the month. All TAMSAT data are released for operational, research and commercial use under a creative commons license.
